History Behind Amberen Perimenopause

Today’s Amberen formulation is the result of decades of sophisticated, rigorous testing, and scientific discoveries. Click below to learn more about our clinical studies and the scientific achievements from the last 45 years of research on the Amberen formulation and its main ingredients.

Scientific Research

Study Design: A 180-day (90-day intervention followed by 90-day observation) randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind study with 105 women between 36 and 50 years of age with mild to moderate perimenopausal symptoms.

Results: Amberen Perimenopause was shown to be a safe and well-tolerated supplement with no adverse side effects. Compared to the placebo group, women who took Amberen reported significant improvements in many perimenopause symptoms. Perimenopausal women who participated in the clinical trial experienced menstrual regularity.^

Scientific Research

In pre-clinical trials, succinic acid showed to improve menopausal changes and the animals also exhibited very distinct signs of rejuvenation. Their energy levels increased, yellow patches disappeared from their fur, their eyes brightened, and their behavioral patterns were similar to those of much younger animals.

Scientific Research

Small doses of amber (succinic) acid were used to rejuvenate the hypothalamus by restoring its sensitivity.
